I’m Scott Baranick. A-1 Boat Canvas
started in 1947 in New Jersey when my brother-in-law, Jack, and my
sister, Pat, opened an upholstery shop in coastal New Jersey. I
joined them when I was just a child. They taught me how to work and
how to work hard. They taught me how to do an excellent upholstery
job, using nothing but the best products. They taught me how to do
right by my customers. We moved together to Florida and I’ve taken
over the business. They must have taught me well because A-1 Boat
Canvas is still here after all these years, when so many marine
upholstery shops have failed. The business is located just north of
the Roosevelt Bridge, near St. Lucie Marina. I serve the Treasure
Coast, from Vero Beach to the Jupiter Inlet including Jensen Beach, Port
St. Lucie, Fort Pierce, Stuart, Manatee Pocket, Hobe Sound, and
Jupiter plus the Palm Beaches like Royal Palm Beach, North Palm
Beach, West Palm Beach, and Palm Beach. Like I said, I use the best products, starting with TENARA Sewing Thread. TENERA thread has a lifetime guarantee because it doesn’t rot and is impervious to salt water and sunshine. It’s expensive and worth every penny. You know the value of good thread if you’ve ever had a zipper pull out or have to have glass sewn back in after the thread fails. I use Sunbrella ® and Stamoid ® marine treated fabrics. Sunbrella sets the industry standard, but the Ferrari Group’s Stamoid fabric is an up-and-comer in marine fabrics. I don’t use the hard glass that has to be glued in – it’s too expensive and too prone to failure. I use Makrolon ® Hard Glass that can be sewn into the canvas. Strataglass ™ is used to finish out the enclosures. This multi-layer, treated clear glass is great. I double seam everything for durability. I offer good prices on great work. I also limit my business to those things I do well, like, bridge enclosures, hard glass enclosures, Bimini tops, custom-made full marine (mooring) covers, cockpit covers, T-Tops, cockpit covers, dodgers, bridge covers, chair covers and cushions, carpet runners, teak covers, and canvas repairs. Here are a few other reasons to use me for your marine canvas work:

I’m conveniently located to where you probably are or will be and I’ll offer you a good price. Give Pat a call or me to schedule an appointment for a free estimate. |
